My wife Melanie gave birth to our first child 8/27/07 via emergency C-Section (hary-cary style I call it) because his heart rate had droped and did not come back up during contrations. Ethan Jerehemiah was 40 weeks 3 days 6lbs 5 oz 21". He swallowed maconium and had to spend the week in a special NICU in Columbia, SC. All is well now with Mom and kid. God is good.

Paterson Update! From: Ian Grinyer Silk City Christian Community Development Corp. 185 6th Avenue (4th Floor) Paterson NJ 07524 New number for CCDC. (973)553- 2551 or Home (973)790-7553 Dear friends, We are finally up and running with our first youth program, we have an after school program for children from ages 9 to 16 years called. “Girls Way Out” Run by Lynda Gallashaw, and my daughter Rosie who is assisting with the kids. We also have a boy’s program C.O.P. coming together where they are beginning to lean computer skills. We have also been helping a few poor families in the neighborhood, with food and a refrigeration. We were able to deliver it to a family in need with the help of a faithful partner. Once a month we have a night called “Urban Flava” on the last Saturday of the month, this month it is open mic so anyone can come with a song or poem and we bring the gospel across though the arts. In October we are having an “Art Gala” on the 29th when we invite Painters, Artist, and others from the community to come and display their work. We also invite schools to send work from their students for an art competition. The theme this month is “From darkness to light” so we will make a wide open door to share our faith as we talk about the artwork. We have also invited leaders from the City to come to the Art show. I am teaching Art in an after school programs in two schools in Paterson. This year as I am working with Innerfaith school of Performing Arts, a great program for the youth here. I have set up my studio again to paint and turn out more biblical painting to sell and make prints to support my family and the work here in Paterson, as many here in the city have great need, and are not able to fund the work that needs to be done here. There are many other things we have plans to do, so we need more laborers, and funding as we have leaders in place. We need your prayer more than money. So if you believe that the Lord would have you help, us you can send funds to: Silk City Christian Community Development Corp. with a note on check: Ian Grinyer Thank you, in Jesus name for your prayer, and help in ministry. Ian Grinyer Urban Missionary
