Betsi Oris: On to glory! Psalm 116:15 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” Dear Word of Life Family: We are writing to share the difficult news that our dear sister, Betsi Oris (Jack Wyrtzen's daughter), unexpectedly went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 7th here in Schroon Lake. Please keep her children, grandchildren, and entire family in your prayers as they travel here to Schroon Lake in the coming hours and days. Thanks welcoming a new baby - Posted: March 3, 2009 by Mrs. Christie (Par-Due) and Brad Gaskill - 1994 , 1995 Praise the Lord, our sixth child came safely into the world on Feb. 25, 2009. Timothy John Gaskill was born at home. He weighed 10 pounds 3 ounces and was 22 inches long. He is a record setter, as all our other babies were in the 8 pound range. We are enjoying him, and his big brothers and sisters love him! He evens up the mix....now we have 3 girls and 3 boys! :) We would love to hear from any WOLBI friends out there who remember us! Taylor should help you find it Farpoint Sci-Fi Convention 2009 - Posted: February 7, 2009 by Master John A Kraly - 1992 , 1993 Hey Gang! It's Farpoint time again! Timonium, MD, near Baltimore, MD. I was NOT able to lock in the whole weekend because of employment/financial issues so even though we got FULL approval to have a Gospel table/mobile chapel for the convention I couldn't pull the money for the weekend. We are looking at a possible Sunday Morning Service for next year's convention and MAYBE a Sunday Morning Service as part of the Shore Leave convention, same area in July. I'm kind of frustrated...some of my WOLBI classmates found me on Facebook and have encouraged me/us. LifeSabers still has a rough road to go and lots of lost we want to reach. We have a nice, cozy little apartment in Brooklyn (Greenpoint) with awesome city views! So now, I'M looking for a job! I'm hoping to continue teaching middle school! Missions Conference - Posted: January 11, 2009 by David and Julie (McCullough) Burch - 1992 , 1993 I came up to WOLBI for missions conference this year. Both BI's were down from Canada for conference as well. What a blessing it was to me as God built lesson upon lesson in my heart as each speaker spoke throughout the conference. I think we received an extra special blessing on Saturday as Harry spoke and challenged us to continue what he and Jack started. It was one of those messages of a lifetime that I am so glad I was privileged to hear. Make plans for you and your spouse to be here next year, you will walk away refreshed and recharged to keep fighting the good fight.
