Dean of Enrollment Management (518) 494-1454 AdamCook@wol.org From: Piseco, NY WOLBI Grad: 1999 Favorite Color: Blue Favorite Food: Fajitas Favorite Activity: Photography I accepted Christ on Halloween in 1993. Soon after that my parents started having difficulties in their marriage and separated. I went through a difficult period in my walk where I questioned God and His involvement in my parents’ situation. Through the ministry of my sister when she was a WOLBI student and the death of two friends, God got my attention and I rededicated my life to Him. I came to WOLBI and grew tremendously in my walk with Christ. I also met my wife here at WOL. God was also working in my parents’ lives through my time at WOL. Through the faithful prayers of many people, my parents were able to resolve their differences and restore their marriage! God is faithful and has richly blessed my life. I Pet 1:3 ![]() Bobby Lanyon
Recruitment Coordinator (518) 494-1502 BobbyLanyon@wol.org From: Towoomba, Australia WOLBI Grad: 2006 Favorite Color: Metallic Blue Favorite Food: Roast Beef Favorite Activity: Waterskiing I accepted Christ as my Savior halfway through my first year at WOLBI in Australia. Even though I had grown up in a wonderful family with Christian parents and siblings, the Lord brought me to a point where I had to make a personal decision for Christ. I moved to the USA in February 2005 and married my beautiful wife, Michelle. I then completed my second year at WOLBI in New York. Having the opportunity to be involved in this ministry is such a privilege. I love working here; it is such a privilege to be a part of young people's lives as they grow closer to God through studying the Word of God and creating a biblical foundation in their life. Office Manager (518) 494-1513 HayleyMiller@wol.org From: New Port Richey, FL WOLBI Grad: 2001 Favorite Color: Favorite Food: Favorite Activity: I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was around 5 yrs. old. As I got older, I threw myself into learning as much as I could about the Bible by attending Bible colleges and seminary. I found self-fulfillment in ministry and got involved with missions, evangelism, and discipleship. I tried to play the part of a leader and attempted to attain my own sanctification. I looked like I had it all together and was a Christian leader among my peers. However, I had sin in my life and I felt that I could not turn to anyone for help because I saw myself as the strong one for the people around me. As a result, sin began to fester and I could not gain victory over secret sin because I was too proud and too scared to find help. As pride set in and my heart hardened, I turned to a dualistic life that did not honor God. Through the ministry and the staff of Word of Life Bible Institute, I was shown a safe place where people can get real answers for real problems. Through repentance and restoration, God TRANSFORMED my life! I am now living in freedom and I am amazed that my God has allowed me to be a part of the ministry at the Word of Life Bible Institute! ![]() Keith Balsley
Florida Admissions Coordinator (727) 379-5037 kabalsle@wol.org I was raised in a Christian home but had never made that decision to accept Christ as my personal Savior. At the age of 12 I had an opportunity to go to my first church camp. There I felt the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and realized I needed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I accepted Christ as my Savior just following the campfire service that week. As a teen I tried to live for Christ but many times felt it more important to run with the wrong crowd then to follow after Him. I'm thankful that he was patient with me. I went to Bible College for four years and met my wife there after. God called us to the Second Year program at Word of Life Bible Institute in upstate NY. After a year in the Second Year program I was hired as the Sports Ministries Coordinator at the Word of Life Bible Institute and served there from 1990-1997. In 1998 I was asked to serve as ministries coordinator at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Hudson, FL. And since have taken on the responsibilities of admission coordinator of the Florida campus. My wife Linda and I have 3 children, Todd, Lauryn and Brett. ![]() Amy Kato

I knew right from wrong and had all the right answers. I had always relied on an experience when I was six that I did not really mean or completely remember as my salvation. It wasn’t until I was in Jr. High that I really realized I had all head knowledge and no heart knowledge of Jesus Christ. My Mama led me to the Lord in her bedroom one night. Since then I have dedicated my life to doing His will and serving Him in ministry, and I have also attended both years of the Word of Life Bible Institute. ![]() Lyndee Metzler

That quote totally describes what God has been teaching me these past couple of years. I grew up in a Christian home and trusted Christ as my Savior at a young age; however surrender was not a part of my vocabulary. God has taken me so far from my own plans that I had made for myself, and has guided me into an incredible adventure that I never could have imagined! There is no greater joy than knowing that your life is not your own, and living it for the One who saved your life! 2 Corinthians 5:15 Besides God, and my job, I love cotton candy ice cream, mud sliding, picking flowers, hiking, and rice. ![]() Danielle Stone

When I was 6 years old I was visiting my grandparent with my family. They happened to have a CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) five day club occurring that week in their front yard. It was at that time that I realized that I was a sinner and that I needed a Savior. That night at the dinner table I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. God has given me a heart for people and has called me into fulltime ministry/mission. I attended the Bible Institute for 2 years. I grew more than I thought possible in my walk with the Lord while attending the Bible Institute. In June I will be getting married to my fiance Brandon Collins. We will then be preparing to become missionaries with Word of Life in the United States. My utmost desire is to serve the Lord with excellence with every breath that He gives me. |
