New for 2009!
New Campfire Site
In 2009, we are creating a new campfire experience for our guests. For returning campers, the new site is located around the pond from the existing campfire area at Andrew’s Pond. This new site will continue to provide the great atmosphere you have grown to love at Word of Life, which has assisted individuals and families in making lifelong commitments to Jesus Christ. With its easy access and much more gentle grade, this new site will provide a much greater accessibility to guests of all ages. While still enjoying the beauty of the Adirondack’s summer sunsets, you will be able to enjoy bring your own seating areas at the front of the meeting area without the sun in your eyes. We know you are going to love this new location!
New Picnic Grove Walkways and Grill Pavilion
Coming in the spring of 2009 to the Word of Life Family Campground are beautiful new walkways throughout the Picnic Grove. These new pathways will allow guests to walk on dry ground from the bookstore to the snack shack and to our recreation areas during the fiercest Adirondack afternoon storm. Coupled with these will be our new grill area, providing greater potential for our food service staff and an enhanced food line flow during our busiest meals. Imagine taking Thursday ‘Steak Night’ to a whole new level!
New Children’s Wading Pool
No more worrying about the big kids! No more concern for young toddlers and preschoolers not being able to stand in the shallow end! No more having to wait to get in on the wet summer fun! The wait is over! To the glory of God, the funding for the new children’s wading pool came in on the very last day of the summer camping season 2008. In the spring of 2009 we will begin construction on this circular, zero entry pool for the youngest of our guests. Mom, you will enjoy basking in the Adirondack sunshine while your little one is safe in our new wading pool, custom built just for you. Big kids, this is great news for you also. This new pool will relieve much of the crowding in our existing pool and wil make certain you will never wait in line again. Can’t wait to see all of you enjoying this in 2009!
