 | Lori Smith Violinist Lori Jean Smith began her musical studies with piano at the age of five and violin at the age of seven under the instruction of her mother, Kathryn Rodgers. She received a Bachelors Degree in performance from Cedarville University, followed by a Master of Music Degree from the University of Utah. Loris orchestral experience includes performances with the Springfield (Ohio) Symphony, Wichita (KS) Symphony, the Utah Symphony in Salt Lake City, Space Coast Pops Orchestra (Merritt Island, FL), and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Lori made her first recording in 1999, entitled 'Memoirs of the Soul,' featuring fourteen hymns, including 'It is Well with My Soul,' 'Amazing Grace,' and 'Be Thou My Vision,' arranged for violin and piano. She has traveled with Christian recording artist Steve Green since March of 2005, and just released her second project, entitled 'Sanctuary,' featuring such familiar worship songs as 'Indescribable' and 'Agnus Dei,' as well as some hymns and original songs, all with the beloved celtic flavor. She has also published two books of poetry, 'musings' and 'musings two'. |
