The Word of Life Inn & Conference Center offers the finest in accommodations, dining and programs. Our attentive staff is second to none. Located in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State within an easy drive of many northeast metropolitan areas, the Inn hosts the best in Bible teachers, Christian artists and special events.
Throughout the year specially focused conferences (Law Enforcement, Women's, Faithful Men, Second Honeymoon, Fall Foliage Family, Single Moms & Kids, Senior Saints and Pastor's Conference) are aimed at building and increasing a biblical foundation for personal lives. Complicated issues unique to various professionals offer a spiritual emphasis to refresh both mind and soul. Our summer season includes full programming and activities for families, newborn children through age 12 and adults. The many activities available at this 20 acre lakefront property will also rejuvenate you physically.

1. What type of accommodations are available?
Various accommodations types and prices help make your stay comfortable and affordable.
- Conference Center
- Executive – king size bed, Jacuzzi tub, air conditioning
- Deluxe Plus – 1 king or 2 queen size beds, air conditioning
- Deluxe – 1 queen and 1 queen sofa bed or 2 double beds, air conditioning
- Chalets
- Superior – 1 king size or 1 queen size bed, lake view, private entrance, air conditioning
- Williams Motel
- Standard – 1 double and 1 single bed, air conditioning, private balcony
- Journey’s End, Studio, Love Nest
- Economy – accommodations vary with single or double beds in various combinations

We do have cot mattresses with bedding and portable cribs to help accommodate families with several small children.
2. Are refrigerators available?
A number of the rooms in the Conference Center have refrigerators in them. There are also a limited number of refrigerators available for a nominal fee on a first-come basis. Submit your request while making your reservation or at check in.
3. Are there irons and ironing boards available?
A number of rooms in the Conference Center and all of the rooms in the Williams Motel are equipped with irons and ironing boards. There are also a limited number available on a first-come basis. Submit your request while making your reservation or at check in.
4. Are there TV’s in the rooms?
Our accommodations do not have TV’s but a big screen TV is located in the Garden Café with access to news and sports channels.
5. Are there alarm clocks in the rooms?
A number of the rooms in the Conference Center have alarm clocks in them. There are also a limited number of alarm clocks available on a first-come basis. Submit your request while making your reservation or at check in.
6. Does the Inn have computer access?
Computer and printer access are available in the Conference Center business center. WIFI access is also available throughout the Conference Center buildings and Club lobby. Instructions to access the above is available at the customer service/front desk.
7. What is included in the cost of each conference?
This can depending on the time of year and/or the specific conference. The cost usually includes lodging, meals, attendance at all sessions/concerts and most on-campus activities. The summer season includes lodging, M.A.P. meal plan (modified American plan), attendance at all sessions/concerts and most on-campus activities.
8. What dates are available?
Our facilities are open from the end of March until the beginning of November each year. A full schedule of our conferences is listed on our website at www.wol.org. You may also request a brochure online or through our customer service representatives, Monday – Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm at 1.800.965.7177.
9. Is it possible to come for only one or two nights during the summer week-long conferences?
Yes, but first choice of accommodations is given to guests choosing to stay for the entire week. Call up to 30 days prior to your arrival date to check on availability.
10. Are children welcome?
Absolutely! Child care, activities and programs are offered throughout the year during specific conferences for kids, newborn through teens. However, there are some conferences that children are not invited to attend, i.e. Second Honeymoon and Spring & Fall Women’s Conferences, etc.
11. What time is check in and check out?
Check in begins at 3:00pm and check out is at 9:00am. However, specific times may vary for individual conferences.
12. Are discounts available for any conferences?
We currently offer the following discounts for conferences at the Inn. Some conferences already have discounted rates for the entire conference, i.e. Senior Saints, Single Moms & Kids and Pastors. No other discounts will apply for those conferences.

13. Is there a specific dress code?
Appropriate attire for most conferences is casual or dressy casual during the spring and fall. However, in the summer season, dress clothes are required for Sunday morning and lunch and a two evening meals, including jackets for men. Dress Capri pants and slacks, pant suits and dresses are acceptable for women. Shorts are permitted at breakfast and lunch only Monday through Saturday. All swim apparel should be modest one-piece for women and modest boxer style for men.
14. What do I do if I arrive after the office is closed?
Provision will be made to have your room keys and information packet waiting for you upon your arrival. An envelope with your name on it will be left in our “late arrival” mailbox that is located outside the set of double glass doors going into the Registration building.
15. What are your payment, cancellation and refund policies?
All reservations require a set deposit per person at the time of booking. The deposit is determined by type of conference and season. Your reservation is required to be paid in full two weeks prior to your arrival or it is subject to cancellation.
Reservations that are cancelled 31 days or more prior to arrival will be subject to a $10.00 per person processing fee. Reservations that are cancelled within 31 days prior to arrival will forfeit the entire advance registration fee per person. The balance on your account will be refunded to you after the appropriate fees have been applied.
We gladly accept checks or the following credit cards: Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
16. Are you able to accommodate special dietary needs?
Our professional food service staff prepares delicious “all-you-can-eat” buffet style meals. Only the finest choice meats, fresh fruit and vegetables, specially prepared salads and homemade breads and desserts are offered to satisfy every appetite.
We will do our best to provide for your special dietary restrictions. Please inform our customer service staff when you check in.
There are no facilities for food preparation. Health codes prohibit bringing your own food into the conference center to cook. There are vending machines available throughout the facility, as well as the Garden Café which offers a variety of snacks and beverages.

18. Are you able to accommodate private groups and conferences?
Absolutely. Call our Private Group Coordinator to find out what dates are open to offer lodging, meals and meeting space. Midweek dates are more readily available than weekends and are also more affordable. Please call us at 518.532.2290 for more information.
19. What is there for us to do during our free time?

21. What travel arrangements are available?
- The closest commercial airports are:
- Albany International - Albany, NY – about 85 miles to the south
- Montreal International - Montreal, Quebec – about 100 miles to the north
- Burlington International – Burlington, VT - about 70 miles to the east
- Schroon Lake has a 3,000 ft. paved airstrip for private planes.
- Amtrak Train service is available to and from Albany and Ticonderoga.
- Adirondack Trailways Bus service is available to and from Schroon Lake.
